Are You a Certified Trucker Against Trafficking?

by Ashley Rhodes 19. May 2020 16:00

As you may know, victims of human trafficking are often found in locations frequented by truck drivers. These victims need our help, and that’s why U.S. Xpress has partnered with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT). TAT is a nonprofit organization that trains truck drivers to recognize and report instances of human trafficking. By learning how to identify the signs and report incidents of trafficking, you can play a vital role in rescuing victims. Since 2009, professional drivers like you have reported over 2,000 cases to TAT’s national hotline and freed over 1,000 people.

You can help victims of human trafficking with a TAT-certification course that involves a 26-minute video, followed by a 10-minute quiz.

Access the training one of three ways:

• On www.USXpressway.com, there’s a direct link with a button titled “Professional Driver Development Site”.

• Or, if you’re already logged into U.S. Xpressway, you can find the Learning System listed under MY TOOLS.

• Or, you can go to our main website, www.usxpress.com. At the bottom of the main page, you can click “PROFESSIONAL DRIVER DEVELOPMENT” to access the platform.

Once you’re in the Learning System, look for “Truckers Against Trafficking” in your list of assignments, and click on the video.

Essential Worker Letter Available in the Xpress Mobile App

by Ashley Rhodes 19. May 2020 11:49

As many cities and states are on lockdown as the threat of COVID-19 grows in the United States, only “essential workers” are permitted to be out on the roads. As truck drivers, your job is essential, especially during this time of crisis. If you’re in an area that has gone on lockdown, you may be stopped at a checkpoint and asked for a verification letter.

To help keep you safe by cutting down on the exchange of paper, we have made this letter digital. If you’re stopped, open the letter in the Xpress Mobile App by selecting Documents, then Permits, from the app’s menu, and show it to the official. It is also available on our COVID-19 landing page (http://www.usxpress.com/COVID-19/).

As always, thanks for driving with us and for putting in so much hard work day-in and day-out to help keep this country running. Stay safe, stay healthy, and know that we’re here for you through all of this.

Don’t Get Penalized: Learn How to Access E-logs on Your Mobile Device

by Ashley Rhodes 18. May 2020 16:01

As you know, during an inspection, you’re responsible for showing your HOS logs and knowing the functions related to a roadside inspection from within your DriverTech unit. But do you know how to access the information on your mobile device? It’s easy.

Step 1: Enable airplane mode on your mobile device.

Step 2: Open WiFi settings.

Step 3: Connect to your personal DriverTech network, it will be “DT” followed by your personal device number.

Step 4: Enter the password “drivertech”.

Step 5: Select sign in prompt, or navigate to ra.drivertech.com on your web browser. It may take a few moments for your device to connect

Now you’re directly connected to DriverTech and your mobile device is acting as your ELD display screen. Go ahead and show it to the DOT officer so he or she can complete your inspection. Then just like that – you’re back on the road!

Help Us Help You! Rate Our 40,000 Parking Locations.

by Ashley Rhodes 17. May 2020 14:30

Easily locate a safe parking location on your route right from your DriverTech navigation. Simply press the blue road sign button on your DriverTech navigation screen, select “Parking”, and your DriverTech unit will then begin searching for options based on your current route. When the search is complete, up to four optimal parking options will display on your screen, and you can select the one that best suits your needs.

Our goal is to ultimately provide you with the best possible suggestions for parking locations on your route, so we need your feedback! When you visit one of these 40,000 parking locations, please take a few minutes to rate your experience based on the following categories:

• Safety

• Cleanliness

• Lighting

• Ease of Accessibility

• Lot Fullness

Coming soon, your ratings will be used to create average driver ratings for each location, so that you will be able to view how your fellow drivers have rated a suggested parking location before you select it. Your ratings on these locations will help us provide you with the best future suggestions, fueled by your collective feedback.

Reminders from the Queen of Clean

by Ashley Rhodes 15. May 2020 17:30

The cleaning team is working hard, continuing to supply disinfecting products and protective gear for you to pick up at any service center or Dedicated location. To make their work as effective as possible and help ensure your health and safety while you’re on the road, please remember the following.

·         Only take the supplies you need. We want to make sure there’s enough for everyone.

·         If you’re not sure where to pick up supplies, reach out to the Service Center Manager or your direct manager. They’ll be able to point you in the right direction.

·         Some customers are requiring face coverings, so keep one in your truck at all times. This can be a disposable mask or a cloth face covering.

·         To help keep our facilities clean, please throw away disposable products in the appropriate trash or recycling bins, not on the ground.

If you have any questions or concerns about our cleaning and protecting efforts, please reach out to Director of Driver Services, the Queen of Clean herself, Lynn Quintero at lquintero@usxpress.com.

Stay safe.
